Byte of Tek was started in June 2010 by Adam Landreneau and Matt Philie. After a fairly good start, in February 2011, Byte of Tek changed from being a general technology news website to a strictly Apple news website. Over the next few months, activity begin to decline. Once Adam started college in August 2011, there was no activity at all.
However, after some planning by Adam and some of his friends, Byte of Tek re-launched on January 14, 2012 as a technology and gaming news website with new staff and plenty of new ideas.
As for future plans, we hope to expand this website for the community. Before the end of 2012, we hope to have a fully functional forum and IRC Chat network.
